If you love live music, please consider supporting Burnley Orchestra. Our mission is to place orchestral music at the heart of contemporary society, deepening engagement with communities and creative partners.
We want to give more people in our communities the opportunity to experience orchestral music, especially those who are experiencing it for the first time. In addition, we support talented young musicians as well as amateur and professional musicians of all ages into their 90s who find fun and friendship through being with Burnley Orchestra.
As a registered charity, our business model is sustained only through support from friends, donors and gifts in wills. Ticket sales alone only account for approximately 40% of our income each year. Each concert such as tonight makes an actual loss of approximately £2,000.
All gifts have a tremendous impact, and at present donations make up around 10% of our income. In order to sustain and grow our impact, especially at at time of increasing costs owing to inflation, we are seeking to increase donations sustainably to 20% of our income.
Ways to maximise your impact at this time include:
– Sponsoring one of our concerts with a donation of £500 – £1,000, which goes towards our costs such as venue hire and music hire.
– Capital funding of £400 is needed to cover ‘baffles’, new acoustic shields between the brass and percussion and other musicians, protecting their hearing.
– Sponsoring one of our musicians and deepening your connection to the Orchestra: opportunities include supporting our Conductor, Leader, or one of our Principal musicians, with gifts of £250 and upwards.
– Becoming a friend of the Orchestra, with an annual donation of £80, and join a growing community of supporters recognised in each of our programmes.

Business Sponsor – Full colour advert in every programme for the year and 2 tickets for every concert. Suggested minimum £150.
Gift aided – Amount of your choice, suggested minimum £80 and gift aid the donation (no tickets) and your name in the programme (optional).
Duo tickets – Suggested minimum £80, 2 tickets for every concert of the season and your name in the programme (optional).
Solo tickets – Suggested minimum £60, 1 ticket for every concert and your name in the programme (optional).

Burnley Orchestra annual draw
Drawn annually and total amount divided between the orchestra and three cash prizes. Half of the total will be used for funding the orchestra and the remaining balance will be divided into: First prize 50%. Second prize 30%. Third prize 20%. £5 per ticket.
The draw will take place at the last concert of the season which is usually in the month of June. If you are not at the concert, then you will be contacted after the final performance to arrange how to receive your winnings. Your contact details are received by the orchestra after payment has been made.
